Palazzone Vignarco Bianco is a crisp, everyday white wine from the historic Palazzone estate in Orvieto, Umbria, central Italy. Produced under the prestigious Orvieto Classico D.O.C. appellation, it is crafted from traditional indigenous grape varieties — primarily Procanico and Grechetto, with small proportions of Drupeggio, Verdello, and Malvasia — grown on ancient soils in the heart of Umbria.
The grapes undergo a loose pressing and are fermented in stainless steel casks at a controlled constant temperature, preserving the wine's vibrant, fruit-forward character. In the glass it shows a brilliant straw color with delicate aromas of white stone fruit. The palate is light-bodied, tangy, and refreshing, offering flavors of ripe pear, apple, and grapefruit supported by bright acidity and a subtly sapid, dry finish.
An exceptionally versatile table wine, Vignarco Bianco is ideal served as an aperitif and pairs beautifully with appetizers, seafood, light pasta dishes, and fresh cheeses. The Palazzone estate traces its roots to 1300, originally constructed at the behest of Pope Boniface VIII. The Dubini family launched their modern winemaking operation in 1982, establishing Palazzone as one of Orvieto's most respected producers.
