Bardstown Bourbon Company's Collaborative Series Goose Island Cask Strength is a limited-edition Kentucky straight bourbon finished in Goose Island Bourbon County Brand Stout barrels. This bespoke blend combines 6-year and 7-year Kentucky bourbons aged an additional 12 months in freshly emptied, unrinsed Goose Island Bourbon County Stout barrels, then married with a 9-year Kentucky bourbon before bottling at 100 proof (50% ABV).

The mashbill blends three components: 56% seven-year bourbon (53% corn, 26% rye, 21% malted barley), 26% six-year bourbon (same mashbill), and 18% nine-year bourbon (78% corn, 13% rye, 9% malted barley). In a remarkable feat of collaboration, the stout barrels were emptied in Chicago in the morning and transported to Bardstown, Kentucky to be filled that same afternoon, ensuring maximum stout influence on the wood. Approximately 42,000 bottles were produced for this limited release.

On the nose, this bourbon presents dark chocolate, honey, toasted almond, and vanilla cream. The palate delivers roasted malt, cacao, and allspice alongside chocolate mousse, leather, charred oak, and vanilla bean. The finish lingers with rye spice, malted barley, dry oak, chocolate malt balls, and a signature bourbon county stout character.
