El Tesoro Yamazaki Mundial Añejo is a limited-edition, one-time release tequila created through a collaboration between El Tesoro's Master Distillers Carlos and Jenny Camarena and Suntory's fifth-generation Chief Blender Shinji Fukuyo. This special expression begins as El Tesoro's traditional añejo tequila, crafted from 100% estate-grown Blue Weber agave, slow-cooked in stone ovens, and double-distilled. It is then aged for 12 months in genuine Yamazaki 12-Year-Old Japanese whisky sherry and wine casks, which impart distinctive notes of red berries, warm spices, dark chocolate, and toasted coffee beans.

Appearance is gold, clear, and shiny with a captivating sparkle. The nose features aromatic agave, minerals, oak, dry fruits, nuts, honey, delicate florals, and fresh tobacco. The palate offers mineral notes, toasted almonds, pecans, raw honey, balanced bitterness, warm spices, sherry notes, toasted coffee beans, and dark chocolate. The finish is long and lingering with sherry notes, fruits, seasoned oak, red berries, warm spices, clove, and pepper. This is the first and only time El Tesoro has been rested in Yamazaki casks, making it a truly distinctive tequila perfect for sipping and savoring at 42% ABV.
