Otokoyama Tokubetsu Junmai is a premium Japanese sake brewed by Otokoyama Shuzo in Asahikawa, Hokkaido, using pristine local spring water. Often referred to by its nickname "Man's Mountain," this Tokubetsu Junmai is crafted with Miyamanishiki rice polished to 55%, resulting in a clean, full-bodied dry sake with an alcohol content of approximately 15%.
The flavor profile features an earthy yet subtly sweet aromatic nose with hints of ripe fruit. On the palate it delivers a solid, clean viscosity with dried fruit flavors and gentle earthiness, finishing dry and crisp. In 1977, Otokoyama became the first sake in the world to win a Monde Selection award, a distinction the brewery has maintained for over 40 consecutive years.
This versatile sake pairs exceptionally well with sushi, sashimi, miso-based dishes, and stir-fries. It is equally enjoyable slightly chilled or at room temperature and is widely regarded as an approachable sake for newcomers while remaining a dependable choice for seasoned enthusiasts. The 720 ML bottle contains 12 bottles per case.
