Marqués de Cáceres Red Blend is a Spanish wine from the Cariñena DO in Aragon, crafted from a blend of Garnacha, Tempranillo, and Syrah grapes. To preserve the wine's intense fruit characteristics, only 30% is aged in American oak barrels while the remainder is aged in stainless steel.
The wine presents a dark red robe in the glass with fresh aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and blueberry, accented by light dusty vanilla spice and a damp earthy note on the nose. On the palate, it is medium-bodied and nicely balanced with savory red berry fruits and a lingering dry finish. It pairs well with smoked pork tacos, grilled sausages, blackened salmon, or roasted turkey leg.
Marqués de Cáceres was founded in 1970 by Enrique Forner in Cenicero, in the heart of La Rioja Alta, Spain. The winery is now led by his daughter and winemaker CEO Cristina Forner. Applying Bordeaux vinification influences to indigenous Spanish grapes, the brand is distributed in over 130 countries worldwide.
