Scattered Peaks Sage Ridge Cabernet Sauvignon is a single-vineyard selection from Napa Valley, crafted by Joel Aiken — a winemaking legend who served as head winemaker at Beaulieu Vineyard for 27 harvests, working alongside luminaries such as André Tchelistcheff and Michel Rolland. The wine is sourced from the remote Sage Ridge Vineyard, a series of small plots perched high on ridges above St. Helena's Lake Hennessey, near the iconic Pritchard Hill appellation. The vineyard is planted with heritage Cabernet clones and shares its chaparral-ringed mountain terroir with legendary neighbors such as Chappellet, Continuum Estate, and Ovid.

Made from 100% Clone 169 Cabernet Sauvignon and aged 22 months in 60% new French oak barrels, this wine delivers deep, muscular complexity with remarkable elegance. The 2018 vintage was sourced from a year that Wine Spectator rated 99 points. Tasting notes reveal a deep dark ruby core, with aromas of sun-kissed violets, dark plums, black cherries, cassis, Darjeeling tea, lavender seed, and graphite. The palate is broad and muscular with deep, rich dark fruit at the core, well-knit tannins, and a long-lasting finish.
