Fort George Brewery's Topaz Spiced Pumpkin Ale is a seasonal craft pumpkin ale brewed in Astoria, Oregon in collaboration with Topaz Farm, a small, family-owned and operated farm on Sauvie Island just outside of Portland. Over 200 pounds of fresh, hand-picked heirloom Jarrahdale pumpkins are hand-roasted by Fort George brewers and added directly into the mash, imparting a cozy, mildly roasty, and exquisitely malty character to this light amber autumn ale. Pumpkin's natural fermentable sugars contribute a subtly sweet balance while reducing the need for additional malt.

The recipe features a blend of specialty malts — Rahr 2Row, Rahr Pilsner, Gambrinus Honey Malt, Lincoln White Wheat, GW Munich, and GW C-75 — along with Tettnanger hops. A classic autumn spice blend of nutmeg, cinnamon sticks, ginger, whole clove, and allspice rounds out the flavor profile. The beer weighs in at 6.7% ABV.
