Barboursville Chardonnay is a crisp and refreshing white wine from Barboursville Vineyards, one of Virginia's most celebrated wineries. Sourced from the Monticello AVA in Virginia's Piedmont region, this Chardonnay is expressive, fresh, and exuberant with clean varietal aromas and vibrant flavors of apple, pear, and lemon. Barboursville Vineyards was founded in 1976 by Gianni Zonin, an Italian winemaker from the Veneto, and is the only American estate in the Zonin family's international portfolio. The 870-acre property in Barboursville, Virginia, is the historic site of a home designed by Thomas Jefferson for Virginia Governor James Barbour — a structure now listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Under the direction of acclaimed winemaker Luca Paschina, Barboursville Vineyards has earned recognition as one of Virginia's premier producers, with its wines having been served at a state dinner for Queen Elizabeth II during her 2007 visit to Virginia.
