This western pocket of Paso Robles is distinguished by limestone soils and a maritime influence that creates powerfully refined red wines. The calcareous limestone hillsides offer exceptional drainage and contribute to profound aromatic complexity, while fog and wind from the Pacific Ocean keep temperatures ten degrees cooler than the rest of the Paso Robles AVA.

The 2022 vintage reveals pure, nuanced flavors of blue fruit and blackcurrant, accompanied by floral and spice notes, vanilla, clove, and potpourri. This wine features seamless oak integration, smooth tannins, silky palate, and solid depth with cassis and cocoa notes, culminating in an elegant, lasting finish. Made from 100% Cabernet Sauvignon. Community tasters note dark ruby fruit, dark cherry, currants, blueberry, and cranberry with a fruit-forward, rich character. The wine is quite young and will benefit from cellaring or decanting.
