Frédéric Magnien Bourgogne Graviers is a Pinot Noir from the Burgundy region of France, sourced from select parcels in the Côte d'Or. The name "Graviers" refers to the gravel-rich clay soils from which the wine is drawn, lending it a distinctive mineral character. Frédéric Magnien is a fifth-generation winemaker based in Morey-Saint-Denis who operates as a négociant, working closely year-round with partner growers and selecting exclusively from organically farmed, older-vine parcels meeting his exacting standards.
On the nose, the wine offers deep, earthy aromas with dark berry fruit. On the palate, smooth flavors gradually gain phenolic maturity, finishing with a pronounced sense of terroir. This wine has been described as a Chambolle-Musigny in disguise, reflecting the land orientation, vine age, and soil composition that encourage well-balanced, juicy fruit. It pairs excellently with beef, veal, poultry, and game meats such as venison.
Contains sulfites.
