Olde Mecklenburg Copper Altbier is the flagship beer from The Olde Mecklenburg Brewery in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is an authentic Düsseldorf-style Altbier — a German amber ale — with a full-flavored character featuring notes of graham cracker, toffee, and caramel that transitions to a smooth, balanced finish.

Copper is a hybrid beer: although brewed as an ale, it is lagered (cold-conditioned on the yeast at very cold temperatures) for several weeks after primary fermentation. This technique blends the rich, full flavor of an ale with the crisp, clean refreshment of a lager. The beer clocks in at 4.9% ABV, 29 IBU, and an SRM of 12.4. It is available year-round and sold here as a 2-pack of 12 oz bottles.
