Cortonesi Lèonus is a Toscana IGT red wine crafted by the Cortonesi family at their La Mannella estate in the northeastern hills of Montalcino, one of Tuscany's most celebrated wine-growing regions. Referred to by the producer as a "Super Montalcino," this artisan blend of 85% Sangiovese, 10% Merlot, and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon is made from a rigorous hand selection of the finest grapes drawn from vineyards 20 to 25 years old—vines at the fullest of their qualitative potential.

The harvest is timed slightly earlier than the estate's Rosso di Montalcino and Brunello di Montalcino to preserve finesse and elegance, yielding a wine with silky, soft tannins and a versatile character. On the nose, expect ripe red and dark berries, light chocolate, hazelnut, Morello cherries, and rose petals with hints of white pepper and dried herbs. The medium-bodied palate shows creamy tannins, lively acidity, attractive mineral complexity, and a fresh, lingering finish.
