La Solitude Côte du Rhône Blanc is a white wine from the Côtes-du-Rhône appellation in the southern Rhône Valley, France. Produced by Domaine de la Solitude, a family estate established in the 17th century by the Lançon family on the western edge of the La Crau plateau, this wine reflects generations of winemaking tradition in the heart of Provence.
The wine is a blend of White Grenache, Roussanne, and Viognier grapes cultivated on iron-rich topsoil over clay and limestone terroirs in a Mediterranean climate defined by mild winters, low rainfall, hot summers, and the Mistral wind. Grapes are hand-harvested early in the morning and carefully sorted before being fully destemmed. A soft pressing extracts only the finest, most noble juices, which are then fermented in thermo-regulated stainless-steel vats. The wine is aged six months on fine lees to add texture and complexity, and malolactic fermentation is intentionally avoided to preserve the wine's aromatic freshness. Sustainable viticulture practices are observed throughout.
On the nose, the wine offers aromas of white flowers, fresh fruits, citrus, and apricots. The palate is round and generous, with peach notes and a fresh, lively, and flavourful finish that balances vivacity and roundness.
