Domaine Michel Magnien Bourgogne Pinot Noir Côte d'Or is a classic red Burgundy from one of the region's most admired family estates. Founded in 1967 and based in the village of Morey-Saint-Denis in Burgundy's prestigious Côte de Nuits, the domaine spans 45 acres across Morey-Saint-Denis, Gevrey-Chambertin, Chambolle-Musigny, and Vosne-Romanée, including holdings in several premier cru and grand cru vineyards. The estate is fully certified biodynamic by Demeter (since 2015) and maintains average vine ages of 50 years.
This Bourgogne Côte d'Or is made entirely from Pinot Noir using the domaine's signature minimalist approach: spontaneous fermentation, partial destemming with ripe stems, and aging exclusively in used oak barrels and clay jars — no new oak is used. The wines are bottled without fining or filtration, allowing the fruit and terroir to express themselves fully. Winemaker Frédéric Magnien took over from his father Michel in 1993 and transformed the estate into a critically acclaimed biodynamic producer, drawing consistent 90+ scores from Wine Spectator, Wine & Spirits, and Burghound across the domaine's range.
This 750ml bottle is sold as part of a 12-bottle case format. It pairs well with roasted meats, duck, mushroom dishes, and aged cheeses. Best served at 60–65°F and can benefit from 30 minutes of air before serving.
