GlenAllachie Scottish Virgin Oak is a rare Speyside single malt whisky that underwent additional maturation in casks made of Scottish Sessile Oak sourced from the Atlantic coast. Scottish oak is incredibly challenging to work with at all stages of production due to its rarity, costliness, and tendency to knot, making it scarcely used for whisky maturation. The wood was air dried for 36 months before being filled, then toasted and charred to a medium level, imparting luxurious notes of blonde chocolate with hints of zesty orange and smooth toffee.

This exceptional single malt celebrates the marriage of tradition and innovation, with virgin Scottish Oak barrels infusing the whisky with distinct notes that pay homage to the local terroir. The result showcases a rich amber hue and complex flavor profile, harmonizing sweet vanilla and toffee notes with a subtle influence of oak that reflects the essence of Scottish wood. Bottled at 48% ABV, natural color, and non chill filtered.

On the nose, it bursts with baked oats, butterscotch and toffee, with notes of cinnamon, gingersnaps and heather honey. The palate delivers lashings of heather honey, orchard fruits and lemon zest, followed by white chocolate, cinnamon and ginger, with toffee and butterscotch on the finish.
