Ruffino Modus Toscana IGT is a celebrated Super Tuscan red wine from the hills of Tuscany, Italy. The name "Modus," derived from the Latin for "method" and "measure," reflects Ruffino's contemporary, precision-driven approach to winemaking. First produced in 1997, Modus has earned international acclaim as one of Italy's finest modern blends.

This full-bodied red is a blend of Sangiovese, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Merlot sourced from estate vineyards near Florence at elevations between 290 and 450 meters. The soils are rich in clay, limestone, and silt, contributing to the wine's structure and complexity. The wine is aged for 12 months in French oak barriques, lending it depth and elegant integration of wood.

On the nose, Modus offers intensely alluring aromas of blackberry and mature floral notes that give way to spicy undertones of cinnamon and cloves. On the palate, plum flavors with balsamic hints are supported by soft, silky tannins and impressive structure. The wine pairs beautifully with game, aged cheeses, and wild boar ragu. Serve at 18°C (64°F). ABV: 15.5%.
