Testarossa Fogstone Vineyard Pinot Noir is a single-vineyard Pinot Noir from the Santa Lucia Highlands AVA in Monterey County, California. This wine comes from one of Testarossa's exclusive monopole vineyards, where all 71 acres are designated solely for Testarossa production. The vineyard sits on an east-facing slope at 250-400 feet elevation with rocky, well-draining loam soils, and benefits from one of California's longest growing seasons due to its proximity to Monterey Bay.

The wine is 100% Pinot Noir, hand-harvested and destemmed, then fermented in stainless steel before aging 19-20 months in French oak with 55-60% new barrels. Recent vintages showcase deep red color with enchanting aromas of cranberry, sage, dried cherry, truffle, pomegranate, jasmine, and roasted strawberry. The palate is voluptuous and youthful with persistent pleasure, balanced by bright acidity and fine-grained tannins. Light oak toasting gives warmth with strawberry fruit, vanilla, and hints of cappuccino and brioche. The wine has received consistent critical acclaim, with recent vintages scoring 93-95 points from James Suckling and Wine Enthusiast.

The 2023 vintage has 14.1% alcohol, 3.70 pH, and is recommended to drink now through 2034. This is a certified California Sustainable Winegrowing vineyard that has been producing for nearly 30 years, making wines that are refined, delicate, and nicely constructed with plenty of aromatic lift.
