La Croix de Brully Chassagne-Montrachet "La Goujonne" is a 100% Chardonnay white wine from the prestigious Chassagne-Montrachet AOC in Burgundy's Côte de Beaune, France. Produced by Domaine La Croix de Brully, a family estate owned by the Péculier family and based in the historic town of Beaune, this wine has been crafted over more than three decades of dedicated viticulture. The estate encompasses 14 hectares of vineyards — including 6 hectares of Chardonnay — with an average vine age of 50 years, yielding grapes of exceptional depth and complexity.
"La Goujonne" is a named climat (individual vineyard plot) situated within the Chassagne-Montrachet village appellation, identifiable by a traditional dry-stone shelter erected in 2010 during the Saint-Vincent tournante de Bourgogne celebration. The wine is vinified plot by plot in Saint-Aubin and aged in oak barrels, in keeping with the estate's commitment to expressing the authentic terroir of each site.
The wine displays a brilliant, intense golden color in the glass. The bouquet is refined and open, showing fresh exotic fruits and roasted almonds. On the palate, it is round, rich, and smooth without heaviness, supported by well-integrated oak and a fine minerality that provides vibrancy and a long, persistent finish. The 2010 vintage was awarded a Coup de Cœur (Editor's Choice) in the Guide Hachette des Vins 2013, earning 2 stars as a "vin remarquable." Serve at 13–15°C; pairs beautifully with scallops in saffron cream, lobster, poultry with cream sauces, and Saint-Nectaire cheese.
