Domaine de la Vieille Julienne is a celebrated family estate founded in 1905 in Châteauneuf-du-Pape, one of the most prestigious appellations in the Southern Rhône Valley of France. The estate has been led by the Daumen family for generations, with Jean-Paul Daumen elevating the domaine to international recognition beginning in 1990. The vineyards are farmed organically and biodynamically, with exceptionally low yields that concentrate flavors and express the unique terroir of the appellation.

This red blend is crafted in the classic Châteauneuf-du-Pape style, predominantly Grenache complemented by Mourvèdre, Counoise, and Cinsault. The wine is vinified in cement tanks and aged in large traditional foudres, preserving the vibrant fruit character and terroir-driven minerality. Expect rich aromas of blackcurrant, dark cherry, smoked meat, garrigue, and crushed stone, with a full-bodied palate showing silky tannins, remarkable concentration, and excellent length. The wine is built for cellaring and develops beautifully over a decade or more.

The estate's wines have received outstanding critical acclaim, with vintages rated 95–98 points by leading critics including Jeb Dunnuck and Decanter. This bottle is presented in the 750ml format and sourced for the Irish market.
