Château Ferrand is a classic red wine from the prestigious Pomerol appellation in Bordeaux, France, produced by the Gasparoux family from 12 contiguous hectares of vines on the southern slopes of Pomerol. The blend of 60% Merlot and 40% Cabernet Franc grows in the area's characteristic sandy, clay-like soils, and the unusually high proportion of Cabernet Franc gives Château Ferrand a distinctly floral and fruity character that sets it apart from many of its neighbors.

On the nose the wine offers aromas of spiced berries, red cherries, and minerals with a touch of wet leaves. The palate is supple on the attack, with firm, fresh tannins that grip and envelop the medium-bodied structure, leading to a tight, mineral finish with good freshness and length. The wine is aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, one-third of which are renewed each year, adding complexity without overwhelming the fruit.

Château Ferrand is best enjoyed after at least two years in the bottle and can develop for up to 15 years, reaching its peak between 8 and 10 years. It pairs beautifully with red or white meats, barbecued dishes, and hard cheeses. Serve at 55°F (13°C). Alcohol 13% ABV.
