This enigmatic expression is crafted from pre-renaissance casks distilled before 2001 and aged entirely on Islay for over two decades. Unlike traditional Islay whiskies known for intense peat, Black Art takes a different path—unpeated, mysterious, and complex. The exact composition of its cask aging process remains a closely guarded secret known only to Head Distiller Adam Hannett.

The whisky delivers an intricate layered experience with notes of dark chocolate, ripe plum, black cherry, and dried fruits like raisins and figs. As it evolves on the palate, hints of toasted oak, vanilla, honey, and warm spices including cinnamon and clove emerge.
