Rampur Jugalbandi No. 5 is a cask-strength Indian single malt whisky from Rampur Distillery, crafted by master distiller Anup Barik and inspired by the ancient Indian classical music tradition of jugalbandi — a harmonious duet between two instruments. The whisky begins its journey in American Bourbon barrels before being finished in Hungarian Tokaji wine casks, a pairing that mirrors the interplay of two distinct voices creating a unified whole.

Bottled at 55.6% ABV without dilution, this limited edition expression earned 92 points from Whisky Advocate and is one of eight releases in the Jugalbandi series. On the nose it presents baked stone fruits, dried mango, and gingerbread. The palate opens with honey and apricot before a wave of cask-strength spice gives way to creamy oak and caramel. The finish lingers with cinnamon, dark chocolate, and oak. This is a premium, collector-grade whisky priced at approximately $400 per 750ml bottle, released in the United States in early 2025.
