Château Malartic Lagravière is a prestigious Grand Cru Classé estate located in the Pessac-Léognan appellation of the Graves region in Bordeaux, France. It is one of only six châteaux in Pessac-Léognan to hold classification status for both red and white wines in the 1953 Crus Classés des Graves classification.

The red wine is produced from 73 hectares of estate vineyards planted to 45% Cabernet Sauvignon, 45% Merlot, 8% Cabernet Franc, and 2% Petit Verdot. Vinification takes place in a combination of stainless steel and oak vats, with malolactic fermentation conducted in barrel. The wine is aged in approximately 65% new French oak, developing complexity and structure. The estate employs gravity-flow technology throughout the winery to handle the wine with minimal intervention.

Château Malartic Lagravière is built for aging, with optimal drinking typically reached between 8 and 30 years from vintage. In excellent vintages, the wine benefits from at least 8 to 12 years of cellaring. Expect flavors of dark fruit, cedar, tobacco, and earthy minerality characteristic of the Pessac-Léognan terroir, with a long and elegant finish.
