Le C de Calon Ségur is the third wine of the legendary Château Calon-Ségur, one of the most celebrated estates in Saint-Estèphe, Bordeaux. The château traces its origins to the 12th century and has long been associated with the heart emblem on its label, inspired by the 18th-century owner Nicolas-Alexandre de Ségur, who famously declared, "My heart is at Calon." This wine is produced from young Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon vines grown on specific parcels with a higher proportion of limestone soils, which impart elegance and freshness to the blend.

The wine is hand-harvested and sorted before vinification in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats, with a vatting period of 18 to 21 days. It is then aged for approximately 14 months in third-fill oak barrels, resulting in a wine that is approachable in its youth while reflecting the classic character of the Saint-Estèphe appellation. The blend is led by Merlot alongside Cabernet Sauvignon, delivering a red wine with structure, dark fruit, and a smooth finish. Sold in a 750 ml bottle, it offers an accessible entry point into the world of Château Calon-Ségur.
