Sekk Sato Shiki Single Malt Japanese Whisky is a 100% authentic Japanese spirit crafted from 100% malted barley, locally sourced from Makino farms in Miyazaki Prefecture, Japan. The whisky is distilled at the Sato Distillery, established in 1905, situated on the banks of the Houri River on the southern coast of Japan. Water is drawn from deep below the surface, filtered through layers of granite for exceptional clarity. The distillery's varied climate — cold winters and hot, humid summers — accelerates the aging process and produces distinctive flavor profiles. Barrels are supplied by Ariake Angyo Cooperage, making this whisky 100% Japanese from seed to sip. Bottled at 40% ABV.

What sets Sato Shiki apart is its use of the Sato Still, the only one of its kind in the world, created by Junji Mizue in 1989. This still fuses a 500-year-old Japanese distillation method with an innovative beehive-shaped interior column that controls vapor speed and achieves a superior balance of head, heart, and tail — producing a rounded, smooth, and balanced spirit. The brand is founded by Master Distiller and whisky expert Taichi Seki and exceeds Japanese governing requirements for production, distillation, bottling, and aging.

On the nose, expect aromas of mild sweetness, roasted barley, and citrus. The palate reveals notes of vanilla, banana, and butter, culminating in a velvety smooth finish with a refreshing hint of citrus. The whisky is additive-free and contains no artificial flavoring.
