Siete Leguas Single Barrel Añejo French Oak Tequila is an ultra-premium expression from one of Mexico's most storied tequila producers, distilled at NOM 1120 in Atotonilco El Alto, Jalisco. Crafted from 100% blue Weber agave harvested from the highlands of Los Altos, this añejo is slow-cooked in stone and brick ovens before fermentation using natural spring water and double distillation in traditional copper pot stills.
This special single barrel release is finished in French oak, distinguishing it from the house's standard American white oak expressions. Single barrel aging means each bottle is drawn from one cask, offering unique character and exceptional consistency within that lot. The French oak imparts refined structure and elegant complexity to the spirit, complementing the rich cooked agave and vanilla character that defines the Siete Leguas style.
On the nose, the tequila opens with cooked agave, sweet vanilla, raisin, peach, and a hint of molasses. The palate is creamy and well-balanced, with maple syrup, dried fruit, caramel, and subtle oak spice. The finish is long and refined, with lingering cooked agave and gentle barrel notes. Bottled at 38% ABV (76 proof) and presented in a 700ml format.
