Springbank 10 Year Old Local Barley is a single malt Scotch whisky from the Campbeltown region of Scotland, part of Springbank Distillery's highly sought-after annual Local Barley series. This expression is crafted from bere barley grown exclusively at Clochkiel Farm on the Kintyre Peninsula, just a few miles from the distillery. The barley is malted on Springbank's own traditional malt floors, and the whisky is distilled, matured, and bottled entirely on-site, making it a true 100% Campbeltown single malt.

This release was aged in a combination of 60% bourbon and 40% sherry casks and bottled at cask strength of 55.2% ABV (110.4 proof). The nose opens with fig rolls, date syrup, plums, and star anise. The palate delivers a savory complexity with notes of burdock, shiitake mushrooms, tamari soy sauce, and liquorice. The finish lingers with campfire ash and treacle molasses. Springbank Distillery, founded in 1828 by the Mitchell family, is Scotland's oldest independent family-owned distillery and is renowned for its traditional, hands-on production methods.
