Torabhaig Sound of Sleat is the fourth chapter in the Legacy Series from Torabhaig Distillery, located in Teangue on the Isle of Skye — the first new licensed distillery on Skye in nearly two centuries. The Legacy Series documents the evolution of the distillery's signature "Smoke with Taste" house style, with each release named after landmarks visible from the stillhouse. Sound of Sleat (Linne Shlèite in Gaelic) refers to the narrow body of sea separating Skye from the Scottish mainland.

This expression is crafted from Concerto and Laureate malted barley peated to 78 PPM+, fermented with 100% Pinnacle MG yeast over a 72-hour period, and matured exclusively in Quercus Alba American Oak — including first-fill heavily toasted barrels, first-fill Bourbon barrels from Kentucky, and refilled Bourbon barrels from the distillery's own warehouses. Bottled at 46% ABV without chill-filtration or added coloring.

On the nose, delicate orange leads with touches of apricot and popcorn, complemented by maritime seaweed, pipe tobacco, honey, and vanilla. The palate delivers light oak spice with rich, sweet bonfire smokiness, developing waxy honey, sea salt, seaweed, white pepper, and sweet spice. The finish is lingering and elegant with notes of honey and ocean.
