Brigaldara Amarone della Valpolicella Classico DOCG is a prestigious Italian red wine produced by the Brigaldara estate, located in the heart of Valpolicella Classica at the entrance of the Marano valley in Veneto, Italy. This wine is crafted using the traditional Amarone method, where hand-harvested grapes are carefully selected and placed in crates to undergo an extended drying process of approximately 120 days in the drying loft before fermentation.

The wine is a blend of Corvina (45%), Corvinone (45%), and Rondinella (10%), all grown at 250 meters above sea level under the Pergola Veronese and Guyot training systems on vineyards planted between 1980 and 2010. During fermentation, the wine remains in constant contact with the grape skins and is pumped over twice daily with a delestage technique to maximize color and tannin extraction. It is then aged for one year in small wooden barrels followed by two years in large wooden barrels, for a total of approximately three years of oak aging.

In the glass, Brigaldara Amarone Classico presents a bright red color with clean aromas of red cherry and berries accented by a floral touch. On the palate, it opens with an initially sweet, glycerine-rich sensation, followed by a slightly bitter note and a noticeable tannic bite layered over lively red fruit flavors. The finish is classically dry with a hint of warmth from its significant alcohol content of 16.5%. The wine has earned consistent critical acclaim across multiple vintages, including Tre Bicchieri from Gambero Rosso, 95 points from Falstaff and Vinous, and 94 points from James Suckling (2019 vintage).
