Mare Island Brewing Co.'s Farragut's Farmhouse Ale is a barrel-aged saison crafted in Vallejo, California, at the historic Mare Island Naval Shipyard site. This 2023 vintage comes in a 16.9 oz (500ml) bottle and carries 8.3% ABV and 18 IBUs.

The beer is an intentionally soured saison aged in used white wine oak barrels, resulting in a lighter body with delicate weight and a slightly toasty aroma. The combination of wild fermentation and oak aging gives it a refined, complex character that balances tartness with subtle vinous notes.

Named in honor of Commodore David Glasgow Farragut — the first U.S. Navy Admiral and the first commander of Mare Island in 1854 — the beer pays tribute to one of history's most celebrated naval heroes, famously known for the battle cry "Damn the Torpedoes! Full speed ahead!"
