King of Kentucky Small Batch #2 is a limited-edition straight bourbon whiskey released in 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of the United States and the creation of Kentucky County. Part of a historic three-batch series, this is the first time King of Kentucky has offered a batched product since the brand's revival in 2018. The brand was originally created in 1881 and is named in honor of thoroughbred horse racing, known as "The Sport of Kings." Brown-Forman has owned the brand since 1936.
Batch #2 is bottled at 107.5 proof (53.75% ABV) and represents the middle proof point of the collection. It is a blend of barrels aged 12 to 18 years, crafted at the historic Brown-Forman Distillery in Shively, Kentucky (DSP-KY-354). Some barrels experienced exceptional angel's share, with as little as 16% of the original liquid remaining after years of evaporation.
Tasting notes feature dark fruit aromas of dates and figs layered with caramel and charred oak. The palate is minty with hints of vanilla, and the finish is longer and crisp. This release is limited in quantity and available at select Costco locations. Limit one per member.
