King of Kentucky Small Batch Bourbon #3 is a limited-release Kentucky straight bourbon whiskey from Brown-Forman, bottled at 110 proof in a 700ml bottle with a one-per-customer purchase limit. This is the third of three small batch expressions released in early 2026 to celebrate the 250th anniversary of Kentucky County's founding — marking the first-ever small batch offering from this storied brand since its 2018 revival.
Each batch was assembled from approximately 100 carefully selected barrels aged 12 to 18 years at Brown-Forman's distillery in Shively, Kentucky, under the direction of Master Distiller Emeritus Chris Morris. The mash bill is 79% corn, 11% rye, and 10% malted barley — historically known as the Early Times mash bill and now called "The King of Kentucky mash bill." Barrels were chosen from low-yield stock that proved too small for single-barrel release but were too exceptional to pass over.
Batch 3 (110 proof) is characterized by rich chocolate and brown sugar brightened by citrus and pine, with bold oak and spice on the palate and the longest, most oak-forward finish of the three batches. Tasters note dark cherries, fresh-ground espresso, tobacco, abundant spice, and a juicy mouthfeel. The Brown-Forman team expands to 36 markets with this small batch line, compared to the single-barrel release which launched as a Kentucky-only product.
