Château de Vaudieu L'Amiral G. is a prestigious red wine from the Châteauneuf-du-Pape appellation in the Southern Rhône Valley of France. Produced by Château de Vaudieu, this is the estate's top cuvée, crafted from 100% old-vine Grenache Noir grown in sandy soils with galets roulés (round river stones), in a parcel situated not far from the legendary Château Rayas.

The wine is aged for 18 months in a combination of concrete tanks and demi-muids (600-liter barrels), with some vintages incorporating new oak. Production is extremely limited at approximately 3,000 bottles, with only around 75 cases imported to the United States. The wine reaches 15% ABV and is sealed with a traditional cork closure.

Tasting notes highlight an expressive perfume of black cherries, wild strawberries, black raspberries, violets, and peppery Provençal garrigue, with leather and licorice undertones. The palate is medium to full-bodied with a layered, elegant mouthfeel, velvety tannins, and a rich, powerful, long finish. The 2022 vintage has received exceptional critical acclaim, scoring 96 points from both Jeb Dunnuck and The Wine Cellar Insider, 94 points from Wine Advocate and Vinous, and 92 points from Wine Spectator. The wine is recommended for drinking from 2026 through 2040, making it an excellent candidate for cellaring.
