Burgess Cellars Promiscua Cabernet Sauvignon is a modern, expressive Napa Valley Cabernet that balances mountain structure with valley-floor generosity. The wine's name references the ancient Roman agricultural practice of Agricultura Promiscua, which incorporates a variety of crops throughout the vineyard to support and bolster the wider ecosystem — a philosophy reflected in the regeneratively-farmed estate vineyards that supply the fruit.

Composed of 100% Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine is sourced from three estate vineyards: Sorenson on Howell Mountain, Quartz Creek in Oak Knoll, and Clos Abeille in St. Helena. It is aged for 22 months in 20% new French oak, resulting in a deep ruby wine with aromas of candied cherry, cigar box, blackberries, crème de cassis, cocoa, violets, and savory herbs. On the palate, flavors of blackberry, Bing cherries, crushed violet petals, red currant, and baking spices emerge with a well-structured finish.

The 2021 vintage received critical acclaim including 96 points from James Suckling and 94 points from Decanter, with an average community score of approximately 92.5 points. Sold as a case of 6 x 750ml bottles.
