The gin's name has a dual meaning in Tuscany: it literally translates to "juniper thicket," but is also a colloquial term for a tricky or thorny situation.

The botanicals include native Tuscan juniper sourced from multiple regions — the bold, fruity berries of Val Tiberina, the more resinous juniper from Chianti, and the salty, mineral-tinged berries from Maremma grown near the Mediterranean coast. Additional botanicals include the rare Helichrysum Italicum (curry plant) flower, coriander, angelica root, lemon peel, and orange peel. On the nose, fresh juniper leaps from the glass alongside zesty citrus and subtle floral notes. The palate is crisp and clean with pronounced juniper, bright citrus, a tea-like quality from the helichrysum, and a peppery spice from the coriander.
