Dirupi Valtellina Superiore DOCG is a red wine made from 100% Nebbiolo grapes grown in the Valtellina appellation of Lombardia, northern Italy. Valtellina is the only appellation outside of Piemonte where Nebbiolo has achieved DOCG status — Italy's highest wine classification — making it a rare and distinguished expression of the grape. The vineyards are terraced on steep hillsides with southern exposure along the Adda River valley, sitting between 450 and 600 meters in elevation at the base of the Alps.
The wine opens with soaring, ethereal florals — crushed red petals, dried herbs, and citrus peel — layered over a deeper minerality. On the palate it is svelte and concentrated, with sweet red-berry fruit accented by subtle oak spice and mineral salts. Nebbiolo's signature firm tannins provide structure and gravitas despite a lithe overall feel. At 14% ABV the wine shows genuine ripeness. It pairs well with braised meats, aged cheeses, mushroom dishes, and hearty northern Italian cuisine.
Each case contains 12 bottles of 750ML.
