Sun Noodle Hawaii's Original Saimin is a beloved local staple from Honolulu-based Sun Noodle Mfg. Inc., the craft noodle company that has been making fresh noodles since 1981. This Costco pack includes four 9.5 oz packages of authentic Hawaiian saimin — Hawaii's iconic noodle soup — each containing springy wheat-and-egg noodles and a savory dashi-style soup base packet.
Saimin is Hawaii's signature comfort food, a noodle soup with Japanese, Chinese, Filipino, and Hawaiian influences. Sun Noodle's original saimin uses thin, springy alkaline noodles served in a clear dashi broth. Traditional garnishes include green onion, fish cake (kamaboko), spam or char siu, scrambled egg, and bok choy, though the noodles are delicious on their own. Each package cooks in minutes: boil 8 oz of water, cook the noodles 3–4 minutes, drain, then add 6 oz of boiling water to the soup base and combine.
