Viña Almaviva is a world-class Bordeaux-style red wine produced at an estate in Puente Alto, within the Maipo Valley of central Chile. The wine is a joint venture between Baron Philippe de Rothschild — the Bordeaux family behind Château Mouton Rothschild — and Viña Concha y Toro, Chile's foremost wine producer. The estate sits at roughly 650 meters elevation on rocky, loamy clay alluvial soils at the foot of the Andes, providing excellent drainage and distinctive minerality.

The blend is led by Cabernet Sauvignon alongside Carménère, Cabernet Franc, and Petit Verdot, vinified in gravity-fed tanks and hand-sorted before fermentation. The wine is aged 20 months in predominantly new French oak barrels. Recent vintages have earned scores of 94–96 points from major critics including Robert Parker's Wine Advocate, placing Almaviva among South America's most respected red wines.

On the nose, the wine opens with dark cassis, ripe blackberries, lavender, dried herbs, and roasted pepper, with underlying notes of graphite and licorice. The palate delivers concentrated blackcurrant, cedar, vanilla, and walnut, balanced by fresh acidity and firm, refined tannins. The finish is long with notes of cocoa, menthol, and herbal complexity. Serve in a large-bowled glass at 16–18°C after decanting for at least one hour. Pairs well with rack of lamb, grilled ribeye, slow-braised short ribs, and aged hard cheeses. Bottled at 15% ABV in a 750ml format. Sold as a case of 6 bottles.
