Marimar Estate Godello is a vibrant, mineral white wine from the Don Miguel Vineyard, located in the Green Valley of the Russian River Valley, Sonoma County, California — one of the coolest, foggiest wine regions on the West Coast, just ten miles from the Pacific Ocean. The Godello grape variety is native to the Valdeorras region of Galicia in Northwest Spain, and was introduced to the estate by founder Marimar Torres, whose family roots in Spanish winemaking span generations.

The Don Miguel Vineyard is trained in a cordon style with alternating spurs, which adds width to the fruit zone and optimizes air flow and light exposure. Grapes are harvested in late September and whole-cluster pressed, with fermentation split between stainless steel and concrete egg vessels. The wine then rests on its lees until bottling in spring, yielding a wine of distinctive texture and complexity.

On the nose, the wine offers intense aromas of lemon verbena and citrus zest, with herbal notes of lavender and hints of almond. On the palate it is round, mouth-filling, and flinty, with refreshing minerality and excellent acidity.
