Produced from approximately 75% Semillon and 25% Sauvignon Blanc grapes grown using organic farming practices, d'Yquem undergoes meticulous harvesting with multiple passes through the vineyard to select only perfectly botrytized grapes affected by noble rot. The wine is aged for roughly 42 months in new French oak barrels, resulting in extraordinary complexity and longevity. It features hallmark notes of honeyed apricots, pineapple, candied ginger, crushed rocks, and citrus peel with a vibrant, layered palate. Alcohol content is approximately 14%.

The estate has been producing wine for over four centuries and is famously selective, having released only 33 vintages since 1959. Routinely scoring 95-100 points from major critics, a bottle of Chateau d'Yquem represents one of the most prestigious dessert wines available.
