Gran Sombrero is a Cabernet Franc wine produced by Huentala Wines, sourced from Argentina's Uco Valley appellation within the Mendoza wine region. The wine is made from 100% Cabernet Franc grapes and aged for five months in French oak barrels.
It displays a red ruby color with bright and dark hues. On the nose, the wine offers an intense bouquet of red fruit, violets, and spices. The palate is bold and structured, with brooding dark fruit, spicy notes, and a violet finish. The 2019 and 2020 vintages have each earned 90โ92 point scores from critics including James Suckling. Alcohol content is 14%.
