Stony Hill Vineyard is a historic white-wine specialist situated high on Spring Mountain in Napa Valley, California. The winery has been crafting elegant, individualistic Chardonnay from gnarly old vines for decades, building a devoted following among collectors and sommeliers who favor restraint over opulence.

The Napa Valley Chardonnay opens with pale straw color and green glints, offering brisk aromas of lemon oil, green apple, and Williams pear layered over white flowers, crushed rock, and a cool fennel snap. The palate is taut and precise, with citrus and orchard fruit riding a lively acid spine, complemented by subtle almond skin, chamomile, and a light chiffon of lees that provides texture without weight. Oak is used sparingly in the house style—largely neutral barrels—letting the Spring Mountain minerality take center stage. Malolactic influence is minimal, resulting in a finish that is long, saline, and mouthwatering.
