Bedrock Wine Co. Evangelho Heritage is a field blend sourced from own-rooted vines planted in the 1890s at the historic Evangelho Vineyard in Contra Costa County, California. The vines grow in deep sandy soils approximately one mile from the Sacramento River Delta, a unique terroir that contributes to the wine's distinctive character.

The blend is anchored by approximately 78% Zinfandel and 16% Mourvèdre, with the remaining 6% comprising Carignan, Alicante Bouschet, Grand Noir, Palomino, and Clairette Blanche. Grapes are fermented with native yeasts in open-top tanks and aged for 11 months in 300-liter and 600-gallon neutral oak puncheons. The vineyard is farmed using practicing organic methods.

The wine delivers bright red berry fruit, blood orange, mint, lavender, and spice on the nose, with a palate of black raspberry, cherry, sweet anise, cracked pepper, and briary accents. It is structured by fine-grained tannins and lively acidity, with a long, vibrant finish. Scores from recent vintages include 95 points from Vinous, 94 points from both James Suckling and Wine Spectator, and 92 points from Wine Advocate. Sold in cases of 12 x 750ML.
