Bonterra Pinot Noir is a light-bodied red wine crafted from 100% certified organic Pinot Noir grapes grown in Mendocino County, California. Sourced from select vineyards including the organic and biodynamic McNab Ranch and Butler Ranch, where high elevation, daytime heat, and nighttime coastal winds produce grapes of exceptional purity and balance.

The wine displays brilliant clarity and a light mahogany red color. On the nose, aromas of red cherry and pomegranate take center stage, woven with earthy notes of mushroom, Earl Grey tea, and hints of white pepper. On the palate, it is light-bodied with balanced acidity and refined tannins, concluding in a bright, mouthwatering finish. The wine will mellow and age nicely for three to five years after release.

Winemaking begins with hand-harvested grapes that are destemmed and gently crushed before undergoing slow fermentation in open-top tanks for optimal color and flavor extraction. The wine then rests on its lees for ten months in French oak barrels, 20% new, developing layered complexity and a silky finish.
