Broc Cellars Amore Rosso is a red Italian-variety blend sourced from the Fox Hill Vineyard in Mendocino County, California. The blend combines Barbera and Dolcetto as co-fermented primary components, complemented by Montepulciano and Sangiovese. Fox Hill is a CCOF-certified organic vineyard owned and farmed by Broc Cellars, situated on Mendocino's Talmage Bench — an uplifted former riverbed of the Russian River — with soils composed of gravelly clay loam mixed with rocky, pebbly sandstone and quartz.
The Barbera and Dolcetto are co-fermented to form the backbone of the blend, while the Montepulciano and Sangiovese are destemmed and fermented separately in stainless steel tanks. The wine is then aged for 10 months in neutral French oak barriques before bottling unfined and unfiltered. The result is a lively, food-friendly table wine with the character of an old-school classic field blend — medium-bodied with bright acidity, red fruit, and earthy complexity. Each bottle is 750ML.
