O'Shaughnessy Estate Winery's Cabernet Sauvignon Howell Mountain is a distinguished Napa Valley red wine sourced from their 120-acre hillside estate vineyard, which reached full maturity after more than 20 years of careful cultivation. Planted beginning in 1997, the estate features 29 acres of Cabernet Sauvignon alongside six of the seven classic Bordeaux blending varietals — Cabernet Franc, Petit Verdot, Merlot, Malbec, Carmenere, St. Macaire, and Gros Verdot — across three distinct blocks: the Amphitheater Vineyard, Rancho Del Oso Vineyard, and Osprey's Nest Vineyard.

The wine is full-bodied and concentrated with textbook Howell Mountain character. Tasting notes highlight blue fruit, cassis, violets, graphite, and background oak, with flawless balance and remarkable purity of fruit leading to a long, elegant finish. Bright and energetic in style, it also shows sweet dark cherry, plum, mocha, spice, tobacco, and lavender lifted in the glass — unusually approachable for a young Howell Mountain Cabernet. Pairs well with beef, lamb, duck, game, and charcuterie.
