The wine is a blend led by Cabernet Sauvignon with a component of Cabernet Franc, sourced from 11 individual blocks within one of Napa's most storied vineyard sites.

On the nose, the wine opens with a brilliant perfume of black cherry and cassis, followed by layers of flowery incense, Asian spices, and iron-like minerality, with delicate herbal shadings that lend freshness uncommon in wines of this density. The palate is rich and full-bodied, with dark-fleshed fruit and tapenade flavors building across a broad mid-palate, supported by structured, velvety tannins.
