Armstrong Family Winery's Sally Mac is a small-production, Left Bank Bordeaux-style red wine grown in the Walla Walla Valley of Washington State. The 2021 vintage is a blend of 76% Cabernet Sauvignon, 12% Cabernet Franc, 8% Merlot, and 4% Petit Verdot, sourced from three distinct high-elevation vineyard sites: the estate's Wheat Ridge Vineyard (47%), Les Collines in the Blue Mountains foothills (45%), and Seven Hills Vineyard near Milton-Freewater, OR (8%).

The wine was 100% hand-picked, cluster sorted, and destemmed, then aged 20 months in a combination of 56% new and 44% experienced French oak (225L barrels). It was bottled unfined and unfiltered, with approximately 320 cases produced. Alcohol by volume is 14.1%.

Tasting notes include chocolate-covered cherries, cigar box, hints of anise, and a suggestion of mint, with supple and well-integrated tannins. The wine received 93 points from Jeb Dunnuck and 89 points from Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, and Vinous. Decanting is recommended.
