Fantini Sangiovese D'Abruzzo is an Italian red wine produced by the Farnese winery in the Abruzzo region of central Italy. This Costco case includes 12 bottles of 750ml each, making it an excellent value for everyday drinking and entertaining.
The wine displays a garnet color with a fruity bouquet of strawberries and black cherries, complemented by vinous notes and hints of wood that are quite intense and persistent. On the palate it is medium-bodied with firm tannins and a balanced, approachable finish that makes it highly versatile at the table.
Sangiovese is Italy's most widely planted red grape variety, and in Abruzzo it produces an approachable, food-friendly style that pairs well with pasta, pizza, grilled meats, and charcuterie. Serve slightly below room temperature at around 60–65°F.
