Old Forester The 117 Series Triple Char is a Kentucky Straight Bourbon Whisky bottled in the brand's signature half-format 375mL size. Part of the 117 Series — named for Old Forester's historic Louisville address and launched in 2021 — this expression is composed entirely of whiskey distilled at the Old Forester Distillery on Main Street in downtown Louisville, making it the first publicly available Old Forester bottling sourced 100% from that facility.

Triple Char is aged in barrels charred three times longer than Old Forester's standard barrel specification, delivering exceptional richness and oak character. The bourbon is bottled at a robust 115 proof (57.5% ABV). Tasting notes highlight a nose of pecan praline, orchard fruits, cardamom, and honey, while the palate offers buttery baked apple cobbler, cinnamon spice, pepper, and pronounced oak. The finish features subtle hints of sweet licorice.
